Foundation Scholarships
Thanks to many generous donors, the SFCS Foundation is able to offer a variety of scholarships. Applications are accepted from mid-February through April 15th each year. The scholarships awarded will be applied to the following year’s tuition. Irene Huebl Scholarship – (St. Mary Parishioners)
Awarded to a K-6th grade student(s) with financial need who attends St. Mary’s school and is also a parishioner at St. Mary’s parish.
Jim and Margaret Jarding Family Scholarship – (St. Michael Parishioners)
Awarded to a K-6th grade student(s) with financial need who attends St. Michael’s school and is also a parishioner at St. Michael’s parish.

1 Timothy 6:17-19 Scholarship – (Our Lady of Guadalupe Parishioners)
Awarded to K-12th grade student(s) with financial need that is an Our Lady Guadalupe parishioner.
Awarded to K-12th grade students with financial need to encourage the areas of math and science.
Bart & Joanne Beacom Scholarship – (St. Lambert’s Parishioners)
Awarded to a K-12th grade student(s) with financial need that is a St. Lambert parishioner.
Deacon John M. Cole Scholarship – (Holy Spirit Parishioners)
Awarded to an outstanding student member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Parish between K-12th grades.
Determined by the Presentation Sisters, these scholarships will be awarded to students between K-12th grades in the Sioux Falls Diocese.
Awarded to a K-12th grade student(s) with financial need.
Incoming or current OGJH students

Awarded to one 6th grade student enrolled at OGJH that demonstrates a Christian lifestyle, participation, academic accomplishments, and respect for others.
Awarded to a current 7th or 8th grade student enrolled at OGJH who demonstrates a desire to learn, a good work ethic and promotes the Gospel values. Preference will be given to students who use the Study Center services.
Hanlon Family Memorial Scholarship – (St. Michael or St. Katharine Drexel Parishioners)
Awarded to one 6th grade student enrolled at OGJH who is a parish member of St. Michael’s or St. Katharine Drexel parish, has 3 or more family members enrolled in Sioux Falls Catholic Schools and demonstrates Christian values.
Awarded to a 6th and a 7th grade student(s) enrolled at OGJH who is involved in instrumental or choral music at school or within the community.
Awarded to 8th grade students who show dedication to his/her studies and whose family sees the value of a Catholic education.
Awarded to a 6th or 7th grade student enrolled at OGJH with financial need.
Awarded to two current OGJH students, who are current members of OG Students for Life, have attended at least 4 meetings or activities, exhibits outstanding respect for all peers and teachers, and participates in Pro-Life activities.
Awarded to a 7th or 8th grade student(s) that lives a Christian lifestyle, has academic accomplishments, participates in school activities, community service and shows church involvement.
Awarded to a 6th or 7th grade student(s) enrolled at OGJH, parishioner of any Catholic Church in Sioux Falls, demonstrates outstanding efforts to serve others in our community, excellent citizenship qualities, and participates in community service based activities.
Awarded to a current 7th – 11th grade O’Gorman student with financial need.

Awarded to an incoming 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade O’Gorman student with financial need. It is designated for a student who is involved in both athletic and fine arts activities at O’Gorman High School.
Awarded to an incoming 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade O’Gorman student with financial need.
Awarded to an incoming 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade O’Gorman student who is involved in school/community activities.
Awarded to an incoming 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th grade O’Gorman student who shows promise in science and has financial need.
Awarded to an incoming 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade O’Gorman student who has financial need and maintains a 3.5 GPA or higher while being involved in activities.
Awarded to an incoming 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade O’Gorman student. It is designated for a student who is actively involved in school activities, maintains an average GPA of 3.0-3.5, who is involved in Cross Country, Track, Baseball, Football, or Band, and who shows a desire and potential to achieve success.
Awarded to a 10th grader who is going to be an 11th grader that exemplifies humanitarianism and kindness.
Awarded to an incoming 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade O’Gorman student that is active in football and has financial need.
Awarded to an incoming 10th, 11th, or 12th grade O’Gorman High School student who is an active member of the O’Gorman community, in good standing in accordance with the O’Gorman attendance & discipline policies, strives for individual academic growth and is currently attending classes at OGHS.
Awarded to an incoming 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade female O’Gorman student who demonstrates academic potential and has financial need.
Awarded to an incoming 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade O’Gorman High School boy involved in Boy Scouts.
Awarded to an incoming 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th grade O’Gorman student who has financial need, makes strong efforts academically, and performs work study or has outside employment to support their education.
Awareded to an incoming 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade O’Gorman student that is active in band and has financial need.
Awarded to an incoming 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th grade O’Gorman student that is a Cathedral parishioner and has financial need.
College

Current 12th grade OGHS Students Scholarships include:
Catholic male who is in the current graduating class at any Sioux Falls HS, maintained a GPA of a B or higher, have recommendations from school principal or counselor, earned 20 units of HS Credit, and ranks in the upper 10% of his class (or has an ACT score of 25 or SAT score of 1100.)
OGHS graduate with a GPA of 3.2 or higher, involved in school activities who has not received any athletic scholarship. Financial need is a major consideration.
Senior from OGHS who will be attending an accredited, Catholic, post-secondary educational institution located in the continental US and has a GPA of 3.0 or better.
OGHS graduate planning to attend USD.
