The O’Gorman Sports Performance Enhancement Program is designed to give the athlete gains in their power, agility, speed, and strength; four key pillars of athleticism. Additionally, there should be a decrease in the likelihood of injury through improved flexibility, mobility, strength, stability and overall movement efficiency. This program is overseen by Athletic Trainers and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialists from Orthopedic Institute.
Who: Males going into grades 10-12
When: May 30 – August 3, 2017
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday * Lifting groups as assigned
Lifting Group 1: 6:15am
On Field Workout (all): 7:00am
Lifting Group 2: 8:00am
Wednesday or Friday * Treadmill groups as assigned
Treadmill Training at D1 Sports Training
Where: The On Field Workout will be performed on McEneaney Field
(gymnasium or wrestling room during inclement weather); Lifting workouts
will be performed in the O’Gorman HS weight room. Treadmill training will be
held at D1 Sports Training.
Cost: $375 (this includes treadmill training at D1Sports)
Based on total participant numbers, session size may be limited. Functional training will be followed by the strength training portion of the program; lifting programs will be different based on gender, lifting experience, and ability. Where: The functional training will be performed on McEneaney Field (gymnasium or wrestling room during inclement weather); Strength training will be performed in the O’Gorman HS weight room.
