O’Gorman Junior High School takes a tremendous amount of pride of being the link between elementary school and high school. The junior high years are a time of great change. Our professional and dedicated staff, along with outstanding parental support, help our students reach their potential in a safe, positive, and faith-filled environment.
We are dedicated to providing a well-rounded education for our students. Along with our core curriculum of social studies, science, mathematics, language arts, and religion, students also take elective courses such as general music, art, and literature. We are fortunate to be able to offer three “Credit Before Grade 9″ courses (Algebra I, Spanish I, and Computer Applications) to 8th grade students who qualify.
Each year, O’Gorman Junior High students consistently score higher on standardized tests than public school students in Sioux Falls and the state of South Dakota. We are very proud of the high scores that our students consistently earn.
The opportunities at O’Gorman Junior High are endless. Co-curricular programs are offered to help with the effort to educate the whole child.
