ADVENT

Advent at O’Gorman is celebrated by joining in the cry of St. John the Baptist to “Prepare the way of the Lord.” Decorations are hung, songs are sung, and an Advent Angel Tree is placed in our foyer to raise funds for the poor in our community.  As we prepare to celebrate his birth, we pray that our joy in the CHRISTmas season would overflow, moving others to deeper faith and love for Christ .

LENT

The three traditional pillars of Lenten observance are prayer, fasting and almsgiving. The key to renewed appropriation of these practices is to see their link to baptismal renewal through the Sacraments.  During Lent at O’Gorman our students are encouraged to delve more deeply into the Paschal Mystery through the exploration of these pillars.
