Welcome to St. Michael + St. Katharine Drexel
St. Michael + St. Katharine Drexel School first opened its doors in the fall of 1995 to 21 kindergarten students. Today, the school serves preschool through sixth grade students. The average class size is 24 and there is a total school enrollment of 400 children. The school offers a before/after school program, a breakfast and hot lunch program, a band and vocal program, enrichment activities, a technology class and so much more! St. Michael + St. Katharine Drexel School is committed to excellence in all academic areas while incorporating faith into everything that happens in the building!
At St. Michael + St. Katharine Drexel School, we understand the value of our students and the importance of family involvement. Parents are actively involved in the education process: volunteering in classrooms, lunchroom and library and assisting in advising, planning, organizing and participating in social events and fundraising. Parents are truely partners with our school!
Nothing more clearly identifies us as a Christian people than our worship. We begin the week with the Rosary, end the week with our school Mass and pray in between. Our gathering together as a community nourishes our faith and energizes us to go out and live the values of the Kingdom of God while celebrating our individual differences.
St. Michael+St. Katharine Drexel School Song:
"We pray in the morning and we pray at noon. We're even praying as we sing this little tune 'cause we love our Maker and He loves us, too! We are the children of St. Michael's School!
We love the wearing of the green, we're the greatest children that you've ever seen. We live by the Golden Rule. We are the children of St. Michael's School!"
