Welcome to St Joseph Cathedral!
The first Cathedral Grade School opened in 1905 with six Dominican sisters teaching 195 students. In 1959 the Cathedral Grade School was torn down and the new St. Joseph Elementary opened in 1960. St. Joseph Cathedral's current enrollment is almost 90 students, with each grade (K-6) having one section. St. Joseph Cathedral School offers Pre-K through grade 6. School hours: 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
St. Joseph Cathedral has very committed and talented teachers. Longevity of the faculty is something Sioux Falls Catholic Schools is proud of. St. Joseph Cathedral's teachers average 9.5 years of teaching in our system. Our teachers are so valued!
